The deaf community in the Philippines are extremely under-served, especially the children. Many times the deaf children are thought to be stupid because they are unable to communicate clearly with others. We know this is not true. Many of them are extremely smart. They just lack the resources needed to be able to communicate. Impoverished families are also under resourced to provide for their deaf child's educational needs. This project is focused on solving the problems these families and their deaf children face in their daily lives.

In partnership with the Center for the Children of the Future, a Compassion International Project, we are providing services for the students in Iloilo and for those on the island of Guimaras. This project funds teachers so that they can teach sign language to the students, their families, and their friends. Funds from this project also provide classroom supplies and the resources necessary to effectively integrate each child into society while preparing them for the emotional and physical challenges that they may face throughout that process.
