PROJECTS
Rose joined Go To Nations as a full-time missionary in May 2019. She is currently serving in the final stage of her missionary training at the World Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born in Kenya, Rose and her family regularly hosted international missionaries in their home. They relocated to England in her youth where she later became involved with St. Mary’s Anglican Church. From there, Rose followed God’s calling to use her in the St. Mary’s mission to plant a church in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, Rose remains an active member of the non-denominational church that she helped to plant and serves on the Intercessory Prayer and Missions Team.
While in Jacksonville, Rose took an interest in the parachurch, evangelistic ministry that is internationally known and recognized as Young Life. Through this outreach ministry, she gained experience in serving multi-ethnic high school teens. During this time, God was preparing her heart for the monumental and honoring task of launching Young Lives, a YL ministry specifically designed to meet the needs of teen moms, in Jacksonville. With no experience as a mom herself, the Lord propelled and affirmed her with the scripture of Isaiah 54, “Sing, O Barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy...” What started in one high school with one teen mother (with whom Rose is still in contact with today) flourished into an outreach including fifteen schools with volunteer leaders mentoring over one hundred teen moms.
The joy of sharing the gospel with teen moms and seeing the power of Christ to transform their lives is what motivated Rose to pursue her long-term dream of empowering women to be who they were fully created to be in God’s image.
